Welcome to Riechip
Formerly the Duke of Atholl’s shooting lodge.
Riechip Lodge (pronounced Rye-Hip) lies about five miles to the north-east of Dunkeld in Perthshire. It was originally built for the Duke of Atholl in the late 19th Century and is situated in picturesque surroundings on the outer edges of the Forest of Clunie (moorland) enjoying magnificent views as far south as Loch Leven about 30 miles away.
The surrounding area, formerly part of the Atholl Estates, now belongs to local farmers who use it mainly for sheep and cattle grazing. Riechip provides the ideal base for tourists or sportsmen alike. There is ample opportunity for shooting, stalking and fishing, or for those simply wanting to explore the rich history and heritage of the area. Being in the middle of a tourist area, there is something for most ages and interests, with many attractions in easy reach.
